Reserve Bank of India, the central bank of the country, performs the statutory function of issuance of banknotes. The Bank intends to set up an Automated Banknote Processing Centre (ABPC). This centre would be a greenfield project aimed at maximizing the operational efficiencies involved in receipt and issue/ circulation/ verification and processing of banknotes involving automated storage and retrieval techniques, etc. The Bank has decided to engage a consultant with requisite experience, for the planning/ establishment and operationalization of ABPC. In order to engage a consultant, the Bank has sought a Request for Proposal (RFP) from the interested applicants having the necessary expertise and experience.
