Inauguration of day long extravaganza, showcasing Indian dance, culture, Yoga, Cinema, Bollywood songs, Culinary and Fashion Show at Pacific Mall today- Jointly organised by Embassy of India and India Tourism Singapore – (30 August 2019)

 

As part of the concluding programme of the Incredible India Road Show, a day long programme showcasing Indian dance, Yoga, Bollywood cinema and songs, Culinary and Fashion was jointly inaugurated today at Pacific Mall today by Ambassador H.E. Pradeep Kumar Rawat, Shri Gyan Bhusan, Economic Advisor, Ministry of Tourism, Govt of India and Mr. Sigit Witjakson, Acting Deputy Minister, Ministry of Tourism, Govt of Indonesia by lighting of traditional lamp at the lobby of Pacific Mall.

In his keynote address, Ambassador welcomed the gathering and thanked them for attending the event. He spoke of the cultural connections between India and Indonesia, unexplored tourist destinations in India, the Islamic Heritages in India and invited them to visit India. He mentioned that the event was organised as part of the ongoing celebration of the 70th Anniversary of India Indonesia Diplomatic Relations. Shri Gyan Bhusan, Economic Advisor,

Ministry of Tourism and Mr. Sigit Witjakson, Acting Deputy Minister, Ministry of Tourism also spoke on the occasion.

The event was followed by the inauguration of the colourful Incredible India Pavilion where tour operators from India met their Indonesian counterparts and shared information on travel destinations in India. Representatives from Aamantaran Travel Company, Dharna Steps, Dynasty Global Journeys, Images India tours, Jatak Traveols, Nice India Tour Pvt. Ltd, State Express, Travel Pals India Pvt. Ltd, Top Travel & Tours Ptd, Prime Value Tours Pvt. Ltd., Sanyog Gupta Voyages, Grande Tours & Travels and NCS Travels & Tours Pvt. Ltd were present in the pavillion.

Representatives from Govt. of Maharashtra and Rajasthan also participated in the event.The event was attended by more than 200 people.

 

The event was organised as part of the ongoing celebration of 70th Anniversary of India-Indonesia Diplomatic Relations and aimed to promote bilateral tourist traffic between two countries.
